From the Constitution: 2 OBJECTIVES The objectives of Bowls GN shall be to promote, develop, advance and regulate the game of bowls equally between men and women and people of all races and in furtherance of those objectives - 2.1 to affiliate to Bowls SA and/or any such national or international sporting bodies as may be deemed appropriate; 2.2 to acquire and alienate any rights relating to movable and immovable property and to acquire funds for the purpose of advancing the objectives and interests of Bowls GN; 2.3 to apply any funds that it may possess for the promotion of its objectives; 2.4 to approve or reject any application for affiliation from any association or body that controls any form of bowls in its area on such terms and conditions as may be deemed desirable; 2.5 to arrange and control inter club matches, competitions, championships and tournaments as may be considered appropriate; 2.6 to make, vary and repeal By-Laws and Regulations that may be necessary in order to regulate the game of bowls within the District and manage the affairs of the District subject thereto that such By-Laws and regulations are not in conflict with this Constitution. 2.7 to appoint such standing committees and/or sub-committees and/or ad-hoc committees as circumstances may require and determine terms of reference for their operation; 2.8 to use all available means to promote the game of bowls in order to create awareness of and participation by all age groups and sectors of the community; and 2.9 to take such further action as it may deem necessary for the furtherance of these objectives.
